How long does it take to build a website?

What do you need from me before we start?

If I have an existing website, will it stay online while the new site is being built?
Yes. Your current site will remain live while we work on the new version in a separate environment. When the new site is ready, we’ll switch it over seamlessly, with little to no downtime.

For clients who want to be more involved, we also offer optional training (via video call or simple walkthroughs) on how to publish blog posts, update images, or make minor edits. This way, you stay in control of content if you’d like, while we continue to manage the rest.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance or support after launch?
Yes. We offer maintenance and support plans that include software updates, security monitoring, backups, and troubleshooting. You can choose a plan that fits your needs or reach out on an as-needed basis.
Will I have full ownership of my website?
While hosted on our servers, the website design, theme, layouts, code, and content created by CreateTheSite (collectively, “CreateTheSite Content”) remain the property of CreateTheSite, Inc. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the CreateTheSite Content for the duration of your active subscription.
To acquire full ownership and transfer the site to another platform, clients may request a one-time buy-out of rights. Pricing and terms vary depending on the scope of the project and any outstanding balances. Please contact CreateTheSite for a transfer quote or additional details.
You retain ownership of assets you upload (such as your logos, photos, and copy) and grant us a license to host, display, and manage them while you use the Service.
Will my site be optimized for search engines (SEO)?
Yes, we include basic SEO setup so your site can be found on Google. We also offer advanced SEO services if you want to improve your rankings.
Can I request new features or upgrades later?
Yes. You can add new features anytime—just let us know what you need, and we’ll implement them.
What happens if my website traffic grows—will hosting scale with me?
